Our Story
It all began in 1964 when Ed and Margie Imo opened a small pizzeria on The Hill in St. Louis, Missouri. With a passion for authentic Italian flavors and a desire to create something truly unique, they crafted what would become the iconic St. Louis-style pizza.
The secret? A cracker-thin crust, sweet tomato sauce, and the revolutionary Provel cheese – a creamy, gooey blend of cheddar, Swiss, and provolone that melts perfectly on every slice. Cut into squares instead of traditional triangles, our pizza became known as "The Square Beyond Compare."
What started as a small family operation has grown into a beloved institution with over 100 locations, but our commitment to quality and tradition remains unchanged. Every pizza is still made with the same care and recipes that Ed and Margie perfected over 60 years ago.
